SLO:
Compare different kinds of packaging, and infer the relative advantages and disadvantages of that packaging. In evaluating different forms of packaging, students should demonstrate the ability to consider a consumer perspective as well as an environmental perspective.

Description of Activity:
Students will access the website: http://www.recycling-guide.org.uk/ and be able to be more aware of the reasons why recycling is important. The teacher will give them a worksheet to fill out while searching the site. The students can find the answers by clicking on the different recycling categories (school, home, building from recycled products, and how materials are recycled) and reading through the information. The worksheet will be handed in and assessed based on if the answers are complete.
Explanation:
By using technology in this lesson, student will be able to learn of the valuable resources and guides that are available about recycling on the Internet. The use of websites is beneficial in providing great illustrations and diagrams that can be more easily understood by some students who learn better by visual representations. This may also help students to be able to navigate around on the Internet.
